Artist Details

I was born and raised in London, England where I received a degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences. In 1989 I moved to California with my husband and 2 sons and currently reside in the Bay Area where I exhibit my work and paint full time. I studied art at West Valley College, California and have also studied with nationally renowned artists including Carla O,Connor, Donna Zagotta, Don Andrews, Skip Lawrence, Gerald Brommer and Jane Hofstetter. Watermedia and collage are my media of choice and I enjoy working in a semi abstract and abstract style. When I start a painting the general form of the subject initially inspires me, I then work to capture the essence and mood of the subject rather than render an exact likeness. I am an active member of several art associations including the Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society, Los Gatos Art Association, The Fine Arts League of Cupertino and a signature member of the International Society of Acrylic Painters.
